Why the film actors are more successful than actors on TV

i mean True Blood box set 1-5 , Pretty Little Liars Season 3 dvd , Big Bang Theory even in How I Met Your Mother Season 8 dvd only Jennifer Aniston get success in movies . But why actors in series are never get roles in films and they're playing only on T.V ? My answer would be that TV series actors tend to be pigeonholed or "Californication Season 6 dvd" once they play a TV role for too long. After a while, an actor becomes so identifiable as a certain character that it is hard to see them as another character. Some film actors in the earlier years of TV were cast in TV series and then after that, their film roles dried up. For instance, take Adam West, TV's Batman. After Batman, Adam West could not get roles in film anymore because everyone saw him as Batman. Or maybe Leonard Nimoy, Spock in the dexter dvd box set series. After seeing Star Trek, who could see him as anything other than Spock? I believe George Reeves, TV's original Superman, committed suicide because after he quit Law and order svu box set series, he couldn't get film roles because he was the iconic Superman.
